First, use an Ethernet cable or a WiFi network to connect your PC or laptop to the D-Link router. An active internet connection is not necessary; all you need to do is connect to the router.
To modify your WiFi settings, follow these steps to enter into the Admin Panel of your D-Link Router:

Open a web browser on your PC once connected.
- Enter 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the web browser's address and Click Enter. As an alternative, you can alternatively enter http://dlinkrouter.local. in place of the default gateway address.
- Your D-Link Router's login page will load, and you must enter your username and password in order to proceed.
- Enter or select the username as Admin and enter your password (default) and then click 'OK' or login. The password is case-sensitive.
Note : secure by default : All D-link routers purchased after 2017 are secure by default. the password can be located on the bottom of the unit by the serial number.
How to change the D-Link WiFi SSID?
Use the router's Admin Panel to modify your D-Link SSID by doing the following steps:
- To access the Admin Panel of your D-Link router, use the above indicated procedure.
- After accessing the admin panel, select Manual Wireless Network Setup under Wireless Settings.
- Next to the Wireless Network Name/SSID field, enter your new SSID.
- To modify the SSID, click Save Settings.
- When the SSID is changed, all previously connected devices are unplugged, and you must reconnect to the network from those devices.
How to change the D-Link WiFi password?
Follow these procedures to change your D-Link SSID via the router's Admin Panel:
- To access the Admin Panel of your D-Link router, use the above indicated procedure.
- After accessing the admin panel, select Manual Wireless Network Setup under Wireless Settings.
- Choose WPA-2 from the Wireless Security Mode by swiping down.
- Enter your new WiFi password in the designated field in the Pre Shared Key section. It can be between 8 and 63 characters, a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
- To ensure the password change is confirmed, click Save Settings.
- The Router will now reboot and all the previously connected devices will be disconnected.
